Adding Probiotics for 3 Months Babies Can Lower the Risk of Suffering From Eczema
The Netherlands, a new study shows that, for mothers of infants with a family history of allergy, in the first three months of birth, daily food supplement containing a variety of probiotics may reduce the risk of suffering from eczema up to 58%.
Researchers selected more than 100 family history of allergic mothers, the number of them into similar groups, one group starting from 35 weeks of pregnancy to consume a mixture of three kinds of probiotic supplements, the other group placebo. The baby after birth to 12 months, given the same treatment.
The results showed that the baby within the first 3 months, taking a placebo, a group of 15 babies suffering from eczema, which serve a group of probiotics, only six babies suffering from eczema, reduce the risk by nearly half.
